Yes. I know, strange.
But also fun.
Earlier in the year a family member asked me if I’d like to use some old rugs to decorate the barn. They were dealing with the estate of a passed family member and were trying to figure out what to do with some unusable old rugs.
Why not?
I left them hanging over the fence line for several weeks to air out some unpleasant smells.
Eventually they were hung in the barn stalls. And they immediately made the barn feel cozy and warm.
Now as we are waiting the arrival of one winter storm after another I’m watching everyone around me preparing their farms for single digit temperatures.
I’m looking around our rug covered walls thinking, we’re good here.
We’re all tucked in. Hopefully it will pass uneventfully.
